The Audit and Risk Recruitment Company is recruiting a Senior Auditor, Data Analytics to join a global consumer goods company.

The organisation already has an established audit function in the US (focused on the US part of the business) and within the last year has created an international audit function headquartered from Manchester. Reporting into the Senior Audit Manager, your role will develop and implement an approach to using data analytics for audits in the international team, so it is a great opportunity to make a significant difference and put your stamp on the function.  The nature of the audits is risk-based, primarily operational, and covering their 6 key global operational divisions.

Responsibilities

  • Champion and lead analytical testing plans in line with the terms of reference to evaluate the design and operation of the controls in place.
  • Support the function in developing powerful and data driven visualisations to help drive audit findings and reports for closure meetings and Audit Committee presentations.
  • Train & develop the wider Risk & Audit team on data analytics and data visualisation, and act as a subject matter expert to support them in adoption of these techniques

There are plans to increase the headcount of the function in the coming years, so there is scope to progress into a managerial role.

In terms of background, you will ideally have a couple of years data analytics experience in support of audit, or you will have been working predominantly as an auditor but began to specialise in data analytics in recent years.  Specifically, you will be experienced in the performance of data analytics and requisite technologies such as ACL, IDEA and Alteryx, and proficient in data visualisation techniques and technologies such as Tableau.

Re working arrangements, the norm will be 2 days in the office per week and 3 days from home.

Remuneration

£50,000 - £55,000 base salary + 8% bonus
