Audit and Risk Recruitment are seeking an Internal Controls Manager to join a global professional services organisation in the construction industry. This role has become available due to significant expansion in the internal audit and controls team.

This role will be responsible for leading on implementation and testing of internal controls, as well as the design and operating effectiveness of existing controls. Reporting into the Director of Internal Controls, this position will assist with planning and executing all phases of the annual Sox and Internal Controls Assurance Programme.

You will also be responsible for supervising the workload and professional development of two junior members of the team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA, ACCA or CIA (or equivalent) qualified professional to enter into a team at a time of growth, with further heads being added to the team this year.

Experience Requirement:

· ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIA Qualified or equivalent.

· 5+ years experience in internal audit, external audit or internal controls.

· Strong understanding of internal controls and SOx concepts.

· Proven experience in a multi-client facing role and managing expectations and timeframes accordingly.

· Excellent writing & verbal communication skills.

Desirable Experience

· Top 10 practice firm background.

· ITGC testing experience.

· Experience using data analytics.

Salary / benefits

· Up to £70,000 DOE

· Additional benefits, including car allowance.

· Hybrid working model - 2 days a week in the Leeds office.
