PE owned, this impressive organisation has only been in existence for 10 years but is already £2bn t/o and operating within 18 countries. It continues to grow and acquire, and you can expect to be operating as Head of Internal Controls in what will be a FTSE 60 sized business.
Reporting into the Group FC, you will have ownership and autonomy in leading in the design and implementation of an internal controls programme in preparation for ‘UK SOX’ and a future IPO.
You will also be given the support and resource to build an internal controls function.
More broadly, responsibilities include leading on ‘financial controls’ strategy continually improving the control framework, delivering on action plans, and mitigating high risk areas, and ensuring that the finance team applies an effective, pragmatic, compliant and value-based ethical culture in all business processes and relationships.
In terms of you and your approach, you will be a qualified accountant experienced in driving and shaping an internal controls environment; thrive working within a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment; have a can-do attitude; and enjoy being hands-on. Prior experience within a SOX environment will be beneficial, but it is not a requirement.
