โ€‹*Audit and Risk Recruitmenthas been exclusively mandated by our client, an award-winning financial services business, to assist in their search for a Head of Compliance, with a specialism in UK defined contribution pensions.


Reporting into the CRO and leading a team of 3 compliance professionals, this is an integral role where you are responsible for leading the compliance function as well as driving the risk framework and continuing to embed a strong risk culture into the business.


You will be responsible for delivering compliance across the business, adopting an approachable and problem-solving approach to stakeholders, as well as being involved in strategic projects.


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced compliance professional looking for a potential step up and an opportunity to lead a small compliance function within the Pensions space.


The position will offer significant exposure to C-Suite executives and the Trustee Board who are very active within the business. Therefore stakeholder influencing is essential to this position.


Background Requirements:


  • Significant Experience working within a UK compliance related position within the financial services industry or a legal function with significant exposure to working in pensions.

  • Critical thinking, with a challenging mindset

  • Line Management experience

  • Relevant UK compliance qualifications

  • Confidence to challenge all levels of the business

  • Organized, pragmatic and track record of delivering across a large regulatory footprint

  • Tenacity to drive improvement and risk reduction across the business

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Able to work under pressure and autonomously

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication

  • Ability to generate clear and innovative risk material to inform and engage stakeholders
