The Audit Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC)* has been mandated by our client, an award-winning financial services business, to assist in their search for an Operational Risk Analyst.

Reporting into the Risk Manager, this is an integral role where you are responsible for building out the risk framework and embedding a strong risk culture into the business.

Your role

The Operational Risk Analyst will support the delivery of the Risk Framework. This role is an essential part of our risk oversight function. The core areas of the role are to identify, measure and monitor operational risk and help drive a strong risk culture across the Business.

Key responsibilities

  • Be the main point of contact for the day-to-day advice to the business on internal risk framework requirements.
  • Ensure that operational risks are identified, measured, controlled, and monitored
  • Maintain the Risk Framework and ensure adherence to the framework
  • Internal risk reporting
  • Perform root cause analysis along with the Business following incidents to ensure that we understand what happened and why
  • Promote risk aware culture across the Business, encouraging full transparency and an open forum to discuss risk
  • Independent challenge across business area

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level
  • Familiarity with risk management better practices
  • Minimum 3 years in a risk role in 2nd line of defence in a regulated financial services firm
