The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) has been asked by a leading FTSE listed business to hire a Senior Internal Auditor.
The role is based in Maidenhead, with the expectation of 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.
This is a low travel role with a UK centric business, occasional domestic travel is required.
Role Summary:
The recently appointed Head of Internal Audit is rebuilding the team at a time when the business is transforming and evolving. The Senior Internal Auditor will report into the Internal Audit Manager who in turn reports into the Head of Internal Audit.
This is a high-profile role in close-knit team, the Senior Internal Auditor will play a critical role in ensuring the internal audit function delivers insight and adds value to the organisation through the delivery of risk-based internal audits.
The Senior Internal Auditor will complete audits independently from start to finish including pre-planning, risk assessment and scoping, fieldwork, presenting recommendations to the business and report writing for review by the Head of Internal Audit.
A large portion of the audit plan is operational, as such in this role you will gain a deep insight and understanding of the operations of a leading FTSE-listed organisation.
Desired profile:
- Strong audit background, most likely from within a Big 4 or Top 10 Practice
- Demonstrable risk-based internal audit experience
- Keen interest in data analytics and robotics
- Excellent communicator, sound judgement and objectivity
- Commercial outlook – pay close attention to detail whilst appreciating the ‘bigger picture
Desired Qualifications:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA) or IA qualification (CIA)
