The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) is currently recruiting a Senior Internal Auditor for a market leading Energy Technology business.

This roles is based in Hammersmith, London and allows for flexible working. This is a global business and the team travel across EMEA, estimated at 20-30% moving forwards.

As Senior Internal Auditor, you'll be part of a global team delivering a mixed audit plan encompassing financial, operational and SOX audits. You'll have responsibility for full end-to-end audits from planning through to reporting. The team are highly visible and are also exposed to other ad-hoc special projects and investigations when requested by Management.

You will be solving complex problems and identifying key areas for improvement and innovation. You will take ownership of delivering assurance and consulting services for our company globally. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on project assignments to deliver a wide range of audits and value-added consulting engagements.

Ideally, you'll have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within external audit and have prior Big 4 experience. An accounting qualification is preferred but not essential as is prior SAP experience.

A new 'High Performer' programme is on offer for talented and ambitious employees after 6 months of joining. If nominated, you can rotate around the different business units (IT, Data Analytics, Anti-bribery & Corruption, FP&A) to have even more exposure to this US-listed multi-faceted business.

Salary is between £50,000 and £60,000, 10% bonus and a wide range of corporate benefits.

Preferred skills/certification

  • ACA or equivalent
  • Big 4/Top 10 external audit background
  • Willingness to travel – EU, US mainly (estimated 30%)
  • Have significant knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and audit methodology including planning, devising test procedures, sampling methods, data analytics and testing.
  • Have extensive technical, analytical and decision-making skills; self-motivated with the ability to work independently, providing solutions and dealing with subjective/ambiguous matters.
  • Second major language a plus (not required)
