Internal Auditor / Data Protection Manager
The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) are helping an Essex based Charity to source a Data Protection Manager to assist them with their GDPR requirements. This role will be ideally suited to either a GDPR specialist or an Internal Auditor, who has worked in/around data protection and preferably conducted IT audits in the past.
This is an interesting opportunity to take on a key position within the organisation and help the business keep abreast of developments in data protection.
You will act as the designated DPO (Data Protection Officer), helping to ensure that customer and company data is secure and safe from all threats.
This will entail adherence to the legal obligations laid out by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other compliance initiatives as required.
You also be responsible for governance and policies surrounding procurement, helping the organisation ensure greater value and benefit.
It is likely that you will come from an Internal Audit background, as this skill set suits the requirements of this role well. You should have a good grasp of GDPR and other data protection issues, although it is not essential to be an expert in this. On site training will be provided.
