Internal Audit Manager - Mid Tier Firm - Public Sector

The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) have been engaged by a mid-tier practice firm to help recruit an Internal Audit Manager to join a high performing team within their public ector practice. This team has undergone exceptional growth in the last 4 years over tripling their headcount as they continue win business.

As the successful candidate you will be managing multiple internal audit assignments and line managing a team of sector specialists. Reporting into a supportive Director, you will be helping build on excellent existing client relationships and contribute to business development activities which will include being involved in the departments overall strategy and marketing projects.

On a day to day basis you will be delivering risk management, internal audit and corporate governance assignments of varying complexity to clients in the public sector. You will be working closely with senior management to determine the audit strategy and risk assessments to enable profits and the delivery of value propositions.

As the successful candidate you will likely be ACA/ACCA/CIA qualified and have experience of working within internal audit in the public sector. Experience working with NHS and local council clients will be of particular interest. This role is open to candidates who are looking for their first line management role, but have experience managing and leading on audits - equally if you are an experienced manager and looking for a new challenge where career progression is actively encouraged this could be for you.
