The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) are partnering with a privately owned Pharmaceutical business to deliver a key hire for their Compliance function. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, our client is looking for a Compliance Lead who can drive a ‘Culture of Integrity’ for the European and Canadian markets. This will be both a hands-on role and a highly important strategic position, where you will work as direct Compliance Partner for Canada whilst also ensuring the implementation of the Global Compliance Programme in Europe.

There will be numerous facets to this role. You will take ownership of the roll-out of risk assessment and oversee the development of training programmes for regional stakeholders. You will develop and implement country-specific policies and tools and help implement compliance monitoring. As requested, you will provide support for Audits. You will have responsibility for third party due diligence and management implementation. You may be required to act as the lead investigator for compliance investigations and will be responsible for investigation management and response. You will lead Canada and European Compliance Committees and oversee other local Committees. Working with Programme Design and Programme Effectiveness leads, you will drive a Culture of Integrity within the business and for third party partners. Finally, this role will involve the line management of 4 direct reports.

The ideal candidate must have experience of leading Compliance Programmes for a highly regulated business. This will preferably be in Pharmaceuticals, but possibly the Scientific, Medical, Oil & Gas or Mining sectors. You will have extensive knowledge of the global regulatory landscape, particular the US and the UK. You will have extensive knowledge of compliance risk areas such as healthcare compliance, anti-bribery and corruption, trade sanctions and data privacy. You will be a highly effective communicator and must have perfect written and oral English language skills.
