The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) is delighted to be supporting our client​ a leading international audit firm. Their clients include some of the largest and most innovative companies in the industry, and they provide them with a range of services including financial audit, risk management, and advisory services. We are looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join their Natural Resources and Energy team in London.

Job Description:

As an Audit Manager in their Natural Resources and Energy team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and leading audit engagements from planning to completion. You will work closely with senior management to ensure that audits are delivered to a high standard, within budget and deadline. You will also have the opportunity to work on a range of advisory projects, providing insight and support to clients on a variety of issues.

Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of clients, including planning and delivering audits, and providing ongoing advice and support

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and providing exceptional customer service

Manage and coach a team of auditors, providing guidance and support as required

Ensure that all audits are delivered to a high standard, within budget and deadline

Identify and communicate opportunities for additional services to clients

Contribute to the development of the Natural Resources and Energy team, through the sharing of knowledge and experience

You’ll be someone with:

ACCA/ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent

Previous experience of managing people

Previous experience of Private Finance Initiative work desirable.

Good working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements

Working knowledge of financial products, firm services, issues regarding advice and regulation and compliance, including anti-money laundering

Experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures

Project Management experience

Desirable:

Sector experience appropriate to BDO audited entities

Experience with listed audited entities

Experience auditing international groups and working with other worldwide BDO offices.
